Position Summary:
You’ll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and proper operation of hospital refrigeration, air conditioning, evaporative cooling, mechanical ventilation, and ice-making equipment. This includes control work and computer design for air conditioning systems.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: High School Diploma (Associate’s degree in HVAC preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with BMS controls.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- South Carolina Journeyman Heating & A/C Certification (or equivalent).
- Certificate of training in air conditioning.
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform analytical diagnosis and mechanical repairs on HVAC equipment.
- Conduct planned maintenance on all mechanical systems.
- Make quick, clear decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Work collaboratively with peers and other departments.
- Handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
Physical & Skill Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, lift, and move equipment for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination.
- Fluent in English (read, write, speak).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
